NASA Explains Angry Birds Space… IN SPACE

by Jenni Chasteen

You know a game is big when they advertise during the Superbowl—you know a game is GINORMOUS when they advertise it in space. NASA astronaut Don Petit took time out of his busy life as a freaking NASA astronaut just to tell you about the new Angry Birds game. Petit explains how the trajectory of “red bird” would differ in space due to the lack of gravity. He does this by flinging a toy across a space ship using a sling shot, making us all deeply regret not pursuing our childhood dreams of becoming astronauts. (So jelly!) This is kind of a big deal because no one has ever advertised a game in space before, but it’s possible that this is just a sign of things to come for NASA in order to get funding. Next: zero gravity dandruff shampoo commercials with flakes EVERYWHERE.
