This is a highly elaborate interactive mock spacecraft built by Making Fun host and cool-guy dad Jeff  Highsmith. He made it for his son, who, I think it’s safe to say, is one lucky kid. The shuttle’s got all kinds of cool, high-tech stuff! Per Jeff’s description:

It has a control panel full of interesting displays and whiz-bang space sounds. A joystick controls lights and sounds for the engine and thrusters. The payload bay has a motorized hatch and contains a robot arm that can be remotely operated over video feed to deploy payloads like toy satellites. Headsets provide an audio link between the spacecraft and Mission Control in the other room, so my sons can practice collaborating on their space missions.

Earth to Cool-Guy Dad Jeff: this is v. cool. Requesting permission to hang out. Do you read me, Jeff? Over! Seriously though, this beats the hell out of the racecar bed I had growing up. And that was pretty damn cool! *Broom broom*

This is Awesome, if I would make something like this for my children they would probably hate me because I will play with it all the time.
