I’d like to have a pile of those discarded green tops to give my chickens. There are loads of animals that would love to have those. That farmer should find a market for them as well. Carrots go so cheap at the market that I wonder what his profit margin is after paying for all the fuel that such factory farming methods use. I also wonder what other crops can be harvested with that device.
