Protect Your Bills Against Vampire Energy

Standby power, also called vampire power, vampire draw, phantom load, or leaking electricity, refers to the power consumed by electronic appliances while they are switched off. Take a look around your house and you can probably locate a dozen devices that are on standby power. To help with this is the Energy Saving Charging Station. Essentially, it’s a special 7-port power strip, five of which can track when power is being drawn by a device. When it senses that the power is no longer needed, it will shut off the ports. Though the other two will have continuous power, so that you don’t need to reset the power strip every time you switch off a lamp. $35 Source
