Having an idea for an invention without the means to create it used to be a huge hurdle. But now thanks to sites like Kickstarter and Quirky, people are getting the chance to turn their ideas into real products. And now there’s an even easier way to start inventing things yourself without third party backing or hiring engineers. MaKey MaKey, an invention kit for everyone, allows anyone to create electronic gadgets out of anything. You don’t need to know how to program or work with circuit boards to create incredible inventions. You just connect alligator clips to anything that conducts electricity and MaKey MaKey does the rest. The demo video shows off some cool things you can do with MaKey MaKey like turn Play-Doh into a Nintendo controller, use Alphabet Soup to type, or create a banana piano—but the possibilities are endless.
