When you think of Microsoft’s Kinect for the Xbox 360, you probably imagine flailing your arms around to control a game. At this year’s Tangible, Embedded, and Embodied Interaction conference designer and super genius Karl D.D. Willis came up with a different use for the gaming peripheral. Using a Kinect attached to a PC and a 3D printer, Willis created small 3D representations of any conference-goers who came by his booth. While the 3D prints aren’t terribly detailed, they’re an amazing proof of concept, and a great way to show off the potential Kinect holds when connected to a PC. We look forward to seeing what Willis comes up with next. Source
