Catit restaurant in Tel Aviv is serving food on plates specially designed for capturing the ultimate food photo. They’re calling the experience Foodography. It costs ~$155 per hour and includes aesthetically pleasing, color coordinated meals presented on a plate with a backdrop and built-in phone stand, plus a mini lighting kit. Alright then! At this point, is it even about the food anymore? Like, does it have to taste good or just photograph well? Isn’t it cold by the time you finally snap the perfection shot, pick a filter, and post it on Insta? Does the Foodography experience guarantee more likes? Because I would like to break the double digits for once.
