To celebrate the release of The Insect Cookbook, there was an insect cupcake party. My invite must’ve gotten lost in the mail and, for once, that’s totally okay with me. I’ll eat most anything, but even I draw the line somewhere! At the party, chef Henk van Gurp made an attempt to break the record for world’s largest grasshopper pie. Because apparently that’s a thing. The book contains recipes for a slew of bug-infested dishes meant to provide an alternate source of protein. So… not bacon? Does not compute!
