These French Fry Gloves Make Your Fingers Look Like Fries

Check out these McDonald’s French Fry Gloves, created by Dallas advertising agency Moroch. They turn your hands into a carton of fries: yellow fingers poke out of a red cuff, as if you’ve just plunged both hands into the deep fryer. Which, for the record, is not how you should keep warm.

There’s a fun twist to this one. The gloves weren’t just an idea waiting for somebody to manufacture them. Moroch actually made them for McDonald’s sponsorship of the Green Bay Packers. According to the agency’s published project description, 7,000 pairs were handed out at Packers home games. So a whole bunch of football fans really did get to wave their French-fry fingers around in the cold.

It’s hard for me to wrap my mind around the brutal winter most of the country has been dealing with when it’s pretty much been a consistent 75 degrees and sunny here in Los Angeles. You know what I mean? I mean, I probably shouldn’t have mentioned it. I’m sorry. Feel free to send your hate mail with the subject line “F U and Your Perfect Weather!!!!1.”

Still, even I can appreciate the genius of turning a familiar fast-food carton into winter gear. The red-and-yellow design does half the work, and your fingers do the rest. It’s basically wearable advertising that also gives you something to do at the next touchdown.

Unfortunately, a giveaway at Packers games isn’t the same thing as a product you can pick up at the mall. We couldn’t verify an official retail release. If you’re determined to look like a walking order of fries, you may have to get creative. Just don’t mistake your fingers for a snack.
