Welcome mats with the word welcome written on them are totally redundant. What you need to really welcome your guests into your domicile is a Hare Mat. Nothing says come on in and make yourself at home like the silhouette of an active hare, right? Okay, maybe not, but you have to admit, this mat is definitely unique. Created by Ed Annink, a product designer, curator and teacher, there’s also a hippo version available.
