The Ugly Truth: Photographs of Faces Against Glass

This is a photoseries called The Ugly Truth by photographer Rut Mackel. Don’t worry, this isn’t a collection of horribly deformed people being exploited—the faces are distorted because each model is pressed up against glass. The series is similar to the Scotch Tape photoseries by Wes Naman, except perhaps even more disturbing since you can’t see the cause of the distortion. The photos serve as a cautionary tale about walking into glass doors because if some jerk catches it on camera you’re gonna look like a real uggo.
