No Diving: Dumpster Pools

There are lots of reasons to climb into dumpsters—to look for cool stuff (okay mostly food), to hide from the cops, and to meet other hobos. But to cool off? That’s new to me and I’ve dived into my share of dumpsters. But these dumpsters aren’t filled with hot garbage, instead they’re filled to the brim cool water. Artist Louisa Dawson converts old dumpsters into pools and puts them in public spaces. She calls the project Temporary Displacement. I call it a great way to cool off after getting chased from the behind the Olive Garden. Do you have any idea how much stale bread they throw away? Them’s good eats. Source
