Christy Oates created The Mink Fur Toilet in response to Meret Oppenheim’s Object piece, a completely useless cup and saucer covered in fur that makes a statement about… art being useless I guess? I’m not sure, but I do know that this toilet sure looks fancy. All you need to make your own is an old toilet, a fur coat and lots of glue. Oates suggests finding a fur coat at a thrift store, and I suggest finding an old toilet on my front lawn—my neighbors have asked that I stop using it as a planter. Source
