I Got My First Real 72 String, Bought It at the Five-and-Dime

If you’ve ever watched someone rock out on a double neck guitar, you know that it’s a pretty impressive sight. A triple neck performance? Freaking mind blowing. But anything beyond that just isn’t practical… unless you’re some kind multi-armed guitar god sent to change the world with the power of rock. Maybe that’s what Yoshihiko Satoh was hoping to attract when he created these 12-in-1 guitars for his art series “Present Arms.” Satoh transformed each set of guitars into interesting arrangements, sometimes lined up in a row, on a curve or in a spiral shape. He says that this series of sculptural art is his expression of American culture amplified. Amplified indeed.

How very practical! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been onstage and wished I had 12 identical Strats.
