Glowy Magic Mushroom Desk Lamps

If you want to recreate the ambiance of a cave in a fantasy themed video game, (but you know, without all the monsters and drippy ceilings) these LED mushroom lights are a good to start. Japanese designer Yukio Takano creates these desk lamps with synthetic glowing mushrooms that look all kinds of magical. Not like, “magic mushrooms” magical, more like “sprinkled with fairy dust” magical. That’s an important distinction to remember because if you come across glowing mushrooms in real life, chances are they’re radioactive. That means you won’t get high if you eat them—you’ll probably just gain the powers of a mushroom and shoot spores at your enemies or something.
