Cube Lamp Cast Intricate Shadows

Cube Lamp Cast Intricate Shadows

Intersections is an art installation by Anila Quayyum Agha. It’s made up of a 6 and half foot wooden cube with patterns carved into it and a light that shines through to project intricate designs onto the walls of a 35 by 32 foot room. Shadow sorcery!! For real though, this ain’t your grampa’s making a rabbit on the wall with a flashlight and his wrinkly old hands. This is some big time shit! Like, literally big. Because it takes up an entire room. When was the last time you saw some art that took up an entire room? Ooh I’ve got one: a museum. That mess takes up an entire building sometimes. It’s weird!
