Alas Poor Yellowjacket! I Knew Him, Horatio

Sadly after many adventures, Mr. Fly‘s life ended short. It might just be because flies only have 30 day lifespans, but I suspect it’s because he didn’t wear a helmet while skateboarding. Yet his memory lives on thanks to Minneapolis creative company Carmichael Collective. Most of us wouldn’t think twice about squashing a bug, but they’ve set up tiny memorials for them. Each bug memorial includes a portrait of the deceased and tiny little bug sized flowers. And they don’t just honor Mr. Fly, but many great bugs we’ve lost… like Mr. Bee. *sniffle* He’s stinging angels now.
